Stacey Hoyt, Ph.D., is regarded as an expert in the fields of evaluation and crisis intervention. Dr. Hoyt serves as an on-call psychologist for natural disasters and criminal trauma related incidents for local, Federal and State agencies, as well as, fortune 500 companies. She also functions as a State Personnel Board examiner, where she engages in pre-employment screening of individuals seeking law enforcement positions. Her work in the private sector has focused on assisting Executives and Human Resource professionals with succession planning, organizational effectiveness, threat assessment, training and development, coaching and mentoring. Dr. Hoyt brings a refreshing enthusiasm, directness and commitment to the role of personal consultation.
Valenti International - Dr. Hernandez Edward D. Hernandez, Psy.D., has served the bilingual community for over ten years. His specialties include helping the chronically mentally ill in both hospital and residential programs, as well as assisting children with learning differences in school settings. The incorporation of spiritual principles into psychotherapy is the cornerstone of his research and practice. Dr. Hernandez brings a genuine warmth that enriches the team at Valenti International. She has particularly adept clinical skills in the areas of eating disorders, body image, women’s issues, and sports psychology for competitive athletes. Her training and experience also includes forensic evaluation, work with law enforcement agencies, drug addiction, and family and couple’s psychotherapy. She is perhaps best recognized for the human touch she adds to her work. She is a mindful and powerful thinker and clinician, as well as a positive, real and approachable individual, reintroducing a combination of empathy and competence to the field of psychology.
Dr. Brody - Valenti International Erin Brody, Psy.D., has an extremely diverse background in the field of psychology. Foremost, she brings to the Valenti team a history of training and research in pre-marital and marital interfaith therapy that promotes realistic expectations for future relational success. Her clinical experience also includes working in psychiatric hospitals, forensic facilities, community outpatient programs and crisis intervention settings. Her approach to working with people is naturally compassionate and nurturing, yet grounded in a base of realism, practicality and directness.
Valenti International - Dr. Hoffman Valerie Rock, Psy.D., is a contemplative, patient and attentive listener who is deeply invested in understanding people. Amongst her training and experience, she is regarded for her work as a couples’ therapist. Her training and history includes forensic evaluations and assessment for immigrants relocating to the United States. She has also conducted educational testing and worked in private practice and inpatient hospital settings with adults, couples, children, and families. In addition to her areas of expertise, Dr. Winkleman’s open-mindedness, genuineness, and empathetic attitude makes her a perfect advocate for the Valenti ideal of helping people find fulfilling relationships using sound psychological methods in combination with today’s advanced technology. Dr. Winkleman’s immeasurable experience includes carrying out psychological evaluations in the forensic, medical, educational, and interpersonal fields. Dr. Winkleman has expertise working with marital/relationship concerns, children, adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, chemical dependency, eating disorders, aggression, and family of origin issues.
Valenti International - Dr. Peck Marti Peck, Ph.D., has broad clinical experiences in the treatment of mood disorders and sexual abuse and trauma. She is a veteran in the psychological community and is formally trained in psychoanalysis with the distinction and accreditation as “psychoanalyst.” She is an educator and highly regarded figure in the exclusive community of psychoanalytic practice and theory. Dr. Peck is a veteran psychologist with years of private practice experience. Of her experience, she continues to offer education and training to developing therapists. Kara Kornher, Psy.D. has been practicing psychology in the San Diego area since 1996. Her primary specialization is in psychological and psycho-educational evaluation and assessment. She provides clinical services and supervision, as well as teaching college level courses in her tenured faculty position at Cal State San Marcos. In addition, Dr. Kornher serves as a consultant for the athletics department at UCLA and maintains a small private practice in La Jolla. Dr. Kornher possesses a special ability to understand and articulate the needs of her clients. She is precise and accurate in her evaluations, offering her authentic insights regarding clients to the matchmaking team.
